October 2011 Graffiti Art Programming

Graffiti Art Programming Inc. (better known as GAP Inc., Graffiti Gallery and the gallery) is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, at the corner of Higgins Avenue and Gomez Street. Graffiti Art Programming Inc. is a not-for-profit community youth art centre, using art as a tool for community, social, economic and individual growth. It is the only one of its kind in North America for artists of all ages and genres from traditional art, to urban art (including hip hop art, graffiti art, street art), to Aboriginal art, to contemporary art, to performance art.

SunShine Fund
The Sunshine Fund enables Manitoba children who do not have the financial means through parents, guardians or agencies, an opportunity to attend an accredited Manitoba summer camp.

If you would like to apply for assistance from the Sunshine Fund for sending your child to camp, please use the link at the top of the page to download an application and follow these instructions.

Upon approval, the Sunshine Fund will provide financial subsidy for a single camp session per child, to a maximum value of $700 per child ($1,050 if attending a camp session that is 15 days or more).

FREE Camps for kids 6-17
The Family Life Centre/Union Gospel Mission is hoping to sponsor around 1500 kids to camp this summer. They have the spots reserved and the funds are there, they just need to find all of the kids. Last year Union Gospel Mission registered around 950 kids. This year they are sponsoring kids to; Winkler Bible Camp's Mission Point Site, Bird River Camp, Gimli Bible Camp, Circle Square Ranch, Valley View, Faith Bible Camp, Camp Nutimik, and new this month Eagle Bay Bible Camp.
