Green Manitoba
Green Manitoba is pleased to announce the return of the E-waste Roundup program for 2010. The provincial e-waste recycling program includes twenty-nine collection depots throughout Manitoba. These e-waste depots (to recycle electronic equipment) are organized into two categories: nineteen temporary depots (available from May 1 - October 30) and ten year-round depots. E-waste Roundup depots accept residential e-waste free-of-charge at the point of drop-off.

Gowns for Grads
Winnipeggers have shown their generosity once again with the public and businesses donating over 1,000 gowns to St. John’s High School grad committee’s Gowns for Grads program. Earlier this month, the committee asked for donations of new or gently used gowns for St. John’s grads after hearing that some young women do not attend their grad because they do not have a gown to wear. Due to the high number of dress donations, the program has been opened to students from other schools in and around Winnipeg. (All gently used dresses have been dry cleaned at no cost by Dollar Wise Quality Cleaners.)
