Que L’association des résidents du vieux Saint-Boniface appuie les effort d’Héritage
Saint-Boniface pour préserver le 210 Masson comme édifice historique/
That the Old
Saint-Boniface residents’ association support the efforts of Héritage Saint-Boniface to
preserve 210 Masson as a historic building.

Affaires nouvelles/New business:
Alain Beaudette a fait une courte présentation sur son acquisition de la Maison Francomanitobaine.
Il confirme que l’édifice changera de nom et que l’immeuble sera rénové.
Pas de détails sur qui seront les nouveaux locataires/
Alain Beaudette made a brief
presentation on his acquisition of la Maison Franco-Manitobaine. He confirmed that the
name of the building will change and that it will be renovated. No details on the new
tenants.

Des résidents ont soulevé leurs inquiétudes au sujet de la fermeture possible du bureau de
poste du boulevard Provencher. Une manifestation aura lieu le 29 avril
/Residents
expressed their concern on the possible closing of the Post office on Provencher
boulevard. A demonstration is scheduled for April 29
th.
Motion.
Que l’associaton des résidents appuie les efforts pour garder le bureau de poste du
boulevard Provencher ouvert et que des letters soient envoyées au directeur de Postes
Canada, au Premier Ministre Harper et à la députée de Saint-Boniface Shelly Glover pour
exprimer son opposition à cette fermeture/
That the Old Saint-Boniface residents’
association support the efforts to keep the Post Office on Provencher boulevard open and
that a letter be sent to the CEO of Canada Post, Prime Minister Harper and the MP for
Saint-Boniface, Shelly Glover to express it’s opposition to the possibility of it’s closure.

Des résidents de la rue Ritchot ont exprimé leurs inquiétudes au sujet de Destiny House.
Cet ancien gîte a été converti en ‘group home’ et compte 6 résidents et on veut augmenter
le nombre de locataires à dix./
Residents of Ritchot street expressed their concerns re:
Destiny House. This former Bed and Breakfast has been converted to a group home and
has 6 residents. This number could increase to ten.

Marion Willis a fait une courte présentation sur la nécessité d’avoir un programme de
prévention du crime à Saint-Boniface et a soummis une lettre invitant l’Association à se
pencher sur ce dossier./
Marion Willis made a brief presentation on the necessity to have
a Crime Awareness program in Saint-Boniface and submitted a letter inviting the
Association to study this matter.

Que l’assoaction forme un sous-comité qui se penchera sur la sécurité dans le quartier de
Saint-Boniface/
That the Association create a sub-committee to study safety issues in
Saint-Boniface.
